Used for bonding metal body structures, AB adhesive bonding—unlike traditional welding processes—does not require high-temperature heating and therefore does not cause metal deformation; it also reduces the weight of the welded components, in line with the trend towards automotive lightweighting.
It has high tensile and shear strength, sufficient to withstand the vibrations and torsional stresses encountered during normal vehicle operation.
Excellent environmental resistance: Once cured, the adhesive exhibits good resistance to high and low temperatures, ageing and oil contamination, and can withstand the harsh conditions associated with vehicles being parked outdoors and driven on challenging road surfaces.
Gap-filling capability: In the case of minute gaps or irregular contact surfaces between metal sheets, AB adhesive can fully penetrate and fill these gaps, thereby preventing stress concentration and enhancing the structural integrity.
