Polyurethane-based UV adhesive

Polyurethane-based UV adhesives are single-component, UV-curable adhesives formulated with a polyurethane-acrylate oligomer as the main component, combined with reactive diluents and photoinitiators. It combines the rapid setting characteristics of UV curing with the excellent flexibility and elasticity of polyurethane materials; once cured, the adhesive layer can be flexibly adjusted from extremely soft to semi-rigid, making it an ideal bonding solution for applications such as flexible electronics and wearable devices that require impact resistance and resistance to bending and flexing.

Product Description

Key Features

Its key advantages lie in its excellent elongation at break and flexibility, which enable it to effectively absorb stress and resist fatigue failure caused by repeated bending. Furthermore, it cures rapidly, offers good transparency and exhibits excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including plastics, glass and metals. Through formulation adjustments, a wide range of hardness and viscosity levels can be achieved, meeting diverse requirements ranging from soft-packaging applications to semi-rigid structural bonding.

Typical Use Cases

✅ Flexible Electronics and Wearable Devices: Bonding of flexible display bezels and potting protection for sensors in smart bracelets and watches require assembly methods that are resistant to bending and low-stress.

✅ Medical devices: Flexible tubing, breathing masks, analgesic pumps and other components that are required to adhere to human skin and have a soft feel must generally comply with biocompatibility standards.

✅ Electronics and Electrical Appliances: Impact-absorbing bonding for smartphone camera modules, and flexible encapsulation and stress relief for printed circuit board leads.

✅ Automotive and Security: The sealing of reversing camera sensors and tyre pressure monitoring modules, as well as the bonding of flexible coverings on car dashboards, requires excellent resistance to vibration and impact.
